VB Advocates is a civil partnership established and domiciled in Malta. The majority of the service providers who are able to access the Website or any of the personal information collected from or relating thereto are located within the EEA and we have data processing agreements in place with these parties. These include email service providers, web developers, affiliates, SEO agents, product suppliers, delivery and logistics, providers of professional advice (compliance and accounting services) and providers of document, timekeeping and software management systems. Personal data that we hold is, at all times, on a strict ‘need to know’ basis.

4. GLOSSARY OF TERMS

  • ‘EEA’ means the European Economic Area or all the countries which are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
  • ‘GDPR’ means the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council of 27th April 2016 on the protection of personal data and on the free movement of such data.
  • ‘Legitimate Interest’ means the interest of our business in conducting and managing our business to enable us to give you the best service / product and the best and most secure experience. We make sure we consider and balance any potential impact on you (both positive and negative) and your rights before we process your personal data for our legitimate interests.
  • ‘Performance of Contract’ means processing your data where it is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party or to take steps at your request before entering into such a contract.
  • ‘Professional Advisors’ include lawyers, auditors, bankers and insurers based in Malta who provide services which VB Advocates consults with.
